In case you have decided to deepen your knowledge of our language editor, first of all, welcome! The Language Editor is a versatile and useful tool for all traders and it can be very valuable to the user when they have mastered its use, allowing several unique settings and possibilities.
Having said that, the path to specializing in this module is challenging and will demand previous knowledge in programming. Just as it presents vast resources for traders who decide to use it, the Language Editor also brings certain initial challenges in its understanding and mostly in its mastering. In order for us to help new users to brave the Language Editor, we have produced this article to differentiate the different types of strategies in the Editor, and when each one’s executions happen!
First of all, it’s valid to highlight that there are five different types of strategies on the Language Editor. Out of them, three are most widely known (Coloring, Execution and Indicator), but there are also the Selection (which can be used in place of the Screening Filters) and Alerts (to create, for example, an alarm for when RSI is indicating overbuy) strategies. It’s worth mentioning that a strategy can be considered multiple types of strategies, being both a Coloring and an Indicator strategy, for example.
